Autumn Off Duty

Photo Credits Ashley McGinty, Griot Photo for All Ze Details

Everyday looks for fall do not have to start with a pair of sweatpants and end with a ponytail. Play up your casual style with heeled sandals, mix-matched patterns, and a preppy bird tote that screams, style-by-nature. A casual cool that rolls off the tongue instead of rolling out of bed. This bird tote is a bit tongue in cheek this fall that gives fashion a bit of casual glamour.

Pop on a leather black jacket, a different pair of heels, and add chandelier earrings (or playful studs) after work to meet the colleagues out for a drink, or for a dinner date.

I love Anthropologie's playful mix of patterns with understated colours that play well off of eachother, and that easily mix.

Casual pieces like this -- take the top, for instance, can be played up with a dressy black leather skirt and embellished earrings.

I chose these pieces to create an outfit as all are easily transitional.
Some are already on sale, shop the looks below & use the links to find out if the items are further reduced. The sale on the shoes are amazing, and I love my pair - which are very comfortable!

Fame & Partners is a brand taking the reins of styling to a new level. Based out of Sydney, Australia - the one-of-a-kind website brings a personal touch to each customer.
Fame & Partners is an interactive site - while selecting your favorite gown online, you're also provided with a complementary personal stylist to help accomplish the look you're going for & most suitable to your style.
I caught up with Nyree Corby, CEO and founder of Fame & Partners, about the inspiration behind the name of the company, and her plans to expand.
"Fame & Partners does event dresses; we have developed a unique trend tracking algorithm that feeds into our real-time fast fashion 2.0 supply chain to offer the most on-trend dresses to our discerning customers. We then allow our customers to make customizations to their dress to make it uniquely theirs. Plus, free stylists are readily available on the website to complete their look," said Corby, of the unique features offered on the Fame & Partners site.
After browsing through the Fame & Partners website, I was quick to select the Structured Curves dress - an evening gown that is flattering on several body types and is easily transitional by swapping out accessories and shoes to completely change the look of the dress.
Although I did not use a stylist on the site, I did have help from Corby to help hand-select the dress that was perfect for my body, size and shape. The dress fit like a glove. To get several looks out of the dress, I chose to accessorize the dress several ways, making it perfect for getting several uses out of the gown for various events this summer.
I was pleasantly surprised for the fit and quality of the gown but more so on how much use I can get out of one dress. The dress definitely makes me feel like I have a unique quality.
"We think that every girl should feel famous when she creates a look that is unique and special to her; it's kind of a tongue-in-cheek name in this celebrity-obsessed world that is about finding your own fame and the partners, like confidence, that go with that," she said.
Plans of having a U.S. presence are already underway, and the feedback from the U.S. audience and customers has already taken Fame & Partners by surprise, she said.
"We've experienced strong sales in Australia since startup, so we recently opened up our offering to the U.S., during prom season. Within four months, our U.S. sales are already close to exceeding Australian revenue, so we can see huge potential for expanding Fame & Partners there and into other markets globally," she said.
With a head office currently in Sydney, plans for expansion of hosting a satellite office in the U.S. are underway, she added.
"Our head office is in Sydney, Australia. We have a satellite office in New York City and will be opening a fully functioning office there in 2014," she said.
The inspiration for a five-year plan is definitely there, she said.
"We are finalizing another round of venture funding right now that will see us expanding aggressively into the U.S. market," she said. "We would hope to be a household name - the eponymous fashion forward event dress brand."
When I think of Fame & Partners, I ultimately think of the website as Cinderella's fairy godmother. The site personally caters to you - to locate the perfect dress for your body, size and shape.
The concept behind the company is unique and already inspiring customers and women in the fashion industry alike.

After the interview Fame & Partners did expand to New York City where their Fame & Partners' second office is now housed. Fame & Partners also just announced their brand new collaboration with ASOS.

DHANGETHI ISLAND MALDIVES

Photo Credits Haili Pue All Ze Details

During our holiday in the Maldives, at Rangali Island we were taken to Dhangethi Island as a part of one of the stops. This was one of our first stops along the way to a deserted island, where we had booked a lunch this day of our Maldives. We had the opportunity to see how the locals live in the Maldives on this island and our tour guide was a local from this island as well and was able to show us around to the shops owned by the locals - and to show us how every day life was on this island. This was a part of the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island tour as we made our way to the deserted island a few more miles away from Dhangethi.

It was so vastly different than the island we stayed on only a few miles away. It was an eye opening experience to see the parallels of the resort and local life.

If you are planning to book with Conrad Maldives for any upcoming vacations you can book various packages to explore around the island including a Whale Shark dive with a research team, and this lunch tour included various stops along with lunch on a deserted island as the last stop of the tour.

PERTH UPMARKET

Perth is surrounded by talent in design, homemade goods, and fashion. Perth Upmarket is upon us opening this weekend, Sunday March 1 at 10AM- with more than 150 retailers coming out to share their talents & goods in Winthrop Hall and Hacket Hall at University of Western Australia.

The Perth Upmarket will include various products spanning from kids apparel, women's fashion, home goods, home decor, and food products. For a complete list of vendors visit the Perth Upmarket website.

I hand selected a few pieces that will be available at the Upmarket from designers AVA//Petra Vanessie and Amanda Kaye Handbags.

Amanda Kaye has unique bags that caught my eye, the Grand Casablanca Clutch in Seafoam Blue is my favorite from her collection right now. It has a unique shape to provide something different and special for a summer or evening clutch.

Petra Vanessie had a beautiful gown that reminded me of Audrey Hepburn, my favorite actress. It had a Roman Holiday feel to it, and I could not pass it up. This dress was also featured as part of Petra Vanessie's collection in Hong Kong  Fashion Week last year. It is from the Marlee 2014 collection on the Petra Vanessie site.

Both Petra Vanessie and Amanda Kaye Handbags are Australian based designers, and are both Australian made that you can't find anywhere else; which is why the Perth Upmarkets are so special - so many unique items and finds from talented artists based right here in the WA.

Visit the Perth Upmarket website for more information on the direct location of the event.

Parking and entry are free for this event.

Special thanks to

Read the guide below, provided by Perth Upmarket to help plan your day on Sunday. The guide provides special offers, and a guide map of with all of the vendors participating on Sunday.

WANDERLUST NECESSITIES

Traveling is always stressful before you're wheels up off of the runway. Traveling does not have to be stressful, especially when it your travel accessories are fashionable - it gives a little more reason to smile during the frustrating layovers, and security checks. When you focus on the small things that make you happy it makes the trip, well, worth it! For instance, when I travel with my Henri Bendel, Kendra Scott, and BCBG jet-setting items - it makes the transition from airport to airport a little less stressful. Everything is organized and kept together in a neat and tidy way - my items are not scattered in my carry-on. Instead when the wheels touch down and my jet's waiting on the runway I'm able to quickly find my contacts, jewelry, and make-up to quickly get ready before grabbing my check bag and a taxi. During my 28-41 hour jet-sets I really need good travel accessories to quickly help me find everything - toiletries, necessities, and accessories. I need to be able to get ready for sleep quickly, as soon as I get on the long flights, or on the contrary, I need to be able to get ready quickly - as I may be running to a meeting or appointment as soon as the wheels hit the runway. These are my favorite go-to items to travel with that I never miss taking with me on any jet set.
