-Funny Face 

My love for anything Audrey Hepburn is indefinite. So with a pink skirt as the main focus of the feature, it was only natural to open with the Think Pink lyrics from Funny Face. I was in love with this Audrey Hepburn shirt the moment I saw it. "Paris is always a good idea!" was a quote from the movie Sabrina in 1954 when Audrey starred alongside Humphrey Bogart and William Holden. 

This skirt is absolutely dreamy; I paired it with a tee to make the skirt a little more effortless and approachable and with an embellished belt to complete the flow and transition of the contrasting materials of fabric. I loved pairing this with an embellished clutch. 

Women always ask me "Where would I wear this?" when I add a skirt like this into their wardrobe (if I'm ever helping someone compose an outfit). The answer always is - you can wear whatever you want, at anytime you want. I wanted to wear this skirt with a t-shirt on a simple day out with a friend for lunch, and I did. This is what I wore to lunch, and I loved it. It's really quite simple - you can achieve wearing a skirt like this on the weekends, as a wedding guest, and simply because you WANT to wear it. It really is that simple. I wanted to wear this, so I wore it - and I loved it.

Everyday looks for fall do not have to start with a pair of sweatpants and end with a ponytail. Play up your casual style with heeled sandals, mix-matched patterns, and a preppy bird tote that screams, style-by-nature. A casual cool that rolls off the tongue instead of rolling out of bed. This bird tote is a bit tongue in cheek this fall that gives fashion a bit of casual glamour. 

Pop on a leather black jacket, a different pair of heels, and add chandelier earrings (or playful studs) after work to meet the colleagues out for a drink, or for a dinner date. 

I love Anthropologie's playful mix of patterns with understated colours that play well off of eachother, and that easily mix. 

Casual pieces like this -- take the top, for instance, can be played up with a dressy black leather skirt and embellished earrings. 

I chose these pieces to create an outfit as all are easily transitional.

Calling all dog lovers Anthropologie CityCentre Houston and Anthropologie Highland Village are hosting SIT.STAY.LOVE. This event is dear to my heart as I help animal shelters, am an advocate for pet adoptions & all of my dogs are rescues. Rodeo In The City

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is on now in Houston that started March 3 and goes until March 22. If you're looking for a unique look for the rodeo this weekend to catch John Legend, Alan Jackson, and Fall Out Boy I can help put together an easy look to get you rodeo-ready without all of the fuss. 

It's still going to be cold outside this weekend, so you can add on layers and wear a jacket over your fab outfit. Wear jeans or leggings underneath a look like this to stay warm. Under the coral dress, that's pictured in this post from Free People, you can add a long sleeve cotton shirt in black for this look and add black leggings. Accessorize this look with turquoise jewelry. If you're coming straight from work Friday or Saturday and do not have time to accessory shop stop by the Christina Greene Designs booth at the rodeo before the concert and layer turquoise pieces throughout your outfit. Christina Greene is a local designer and all of her pieces are unique, you can stop by the booth in Hall E #6107/6108.
