A road trip to Western Australia's south region, below Margaret River, in the Leeuwin Natraliste National Park was breathtaking and full of adventure - which was exactly what we were seeking out.

We toured most of the caves from the Margaret River region down throughout the Leeuwin Natraliste National Park - down to Augusta. A lovely & small coastal town that houses the famous Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. A lighthouse that people come from all corners of the world to see, especially since the Southern Ocean and the Indian Ocean meet at this point. The Lighthouse is located at the most southern point of Western Australia - the closest you'll get to Antarctica in Western Australia (another 6,000+ km south).

During our private tour the lighthouse tour guide pointed out what points of the world we were directly facing on each side of the lighthouse. Facing the ocean on the right side of the lighthouse, she pointed out just how far we were from North America, which instantly made me homesick for Texas.

The lighthouse views were absolutely stunning, and the neighborin beaches were breathtaking. On our drive back north we decided to take our time to take it all in. We had a couple of cave tour-goers pass us during shooting that said "That is the brightest, most cheerful color we have seen all day!" And I DID hear a few "G'days!" today, which I was grateful to finally hear! (You rarely hear it as I explained in my last Australian post: Texan Converted Australian)
