During our holiday in the Maldives, at Rangali Island we were taken to Dhangethi Island as a part of one of the stops. This was one of our first stops along the way to a deserted island, where we had booked a lunch this day of our Maldives. We had the opportunity to see how the locals live in the Maldives on this island and our tour guide was a local from this island as well and was able to show us around to the shops owned by the locals - and to show us how every day life was on this island. This was a part of the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island tour as we made our way to the deserted island a few more miles away from Dhangethi.
It was so vastly different than the island we stayed on only a few miles away. It was an eye opening experience to see the parallels of the resort and local life.
