FLANNEL has really taken on my interest here in Australia, for summer apparel. I did not imagine that the heat would reach to Texas temperatures, but it has - and summer is full on now. The heat is almost unbearable at times to make you want to slip in to shops along the street to catch a bit of air conditioning along the way. Which is the exact reason I ended up browsing in FLANNEL.
After Christmas, the sales turned out to be incredible and I happened to slip this dress on - just after browsing the FLANNEL store. It is light, and perfect for summer and easy to throw on. It is adorned in the back with a unique hood. I paired it with a FLANNEL leather-braided belt that I loved at the store and decided to pair with this dress. Both options have made it incredibly easy for me to throw on this summer.
If you've already got a maxi-dress in your wardrobe, update the look by adding a belt with character. Opt for lighter material that is easy to throw on for the beach and dress up the look for a night out with heels, or wedges to instantly accommodate an evening out.
I also paired the look with a Cowgirl hat, taking me back to my Texan roots, from Myer.
The look screams summer and is a casual yet feminine look to last throughout summer.
