In New York City the summer is hotter than ever, but fab NYC Blogger Sleepless In Sequins Hallie Friedman and I were already in a fall state of mind. We dropped into the Elaine Turner Madison Avenue store to swoon over embossed Python clutches, and fall accessories from the newest collection, Big Texas from the Houston designer. With our python clutches in hand, Sleepless In Sequins and I took on Madison Avenue and The Metropolitan Museum, feeling a little like S + B.

Python plays well with a dark palette in fall, and continues to transition into spring with brighter hues. The Blair bag is decidedly an essential that makes a statement with just the right details; adorned with chic studs and Python embossed leather the Blair bag boasts of femininity and edge. The Blair bag can be used as a clutch or a cross body, and although the bag is a fun essential - with details that dress it up for work or play, the Bella Clutch (as seen on Hallie, of Sleepless In Sequins) is strictly about a being a social butterfly, and is the perfect go-to clutch for any event.

Given the heat during our Girls Day Out in New York City we stuck to lighter fabrics to play in the sun, but the accessories were our favorite choices to transition into the fall. To a Texas girl, the Rebecca Hallam turquoise necklace is a perfect additive to any girl's fall wardrobe. I can also picture it over a gorgeous long-sleeved, structured black turtle-neck dress. I paired the entire look with the Willa Bamboo Stud Earrings. Hallie selected the Estrella Bib Necklace in gold to pair with the Audrey Dress (in blackberry), new from the Elaine Turner fall collection. The shipment literally had just come out of the box before Hallie & I discovered the Audrey Dress - which we love!

Hallie Friedman of Sleepless In Sequins is a fabulous NYC blogger that I recently discovered after seeing a comment from her on my Instagram. I immediately had to collaborate with her for an NYC feature while I was visiting. Hallie Friedman is my blogging soul sister in style, and in sharing a shoe size - which never happens! We both wear size 5 shoes which was a sure sign we'd be instant friends. Both of our husbands came along with us for a day out in NYC to shoot this feature, in which they both became instant friends. Thus our blog post turned into an all day event of grabbing Luke's Lobster for lunch, lounging at a lovely new wine bar, and ending the fabulous day with a breath taking view of NYC on Midtown Manhattan's Kimberly Hotel rooftop. We also found out that we share the same wedding anniversary month. Hallie's husband, Grant Friedman is a New York City based lifestyle photographer that has incredible work featured on his photography website that you can view here.
