Have a casual-elegant Valentine's Day by creating a casual picnic look - and cute picnic ideas to create your ideal date-for-two on the grass adorned with Valentine snacks, and a look that is effortless and easy to create.
Ethel and Leo, local designers in Perth Australia have an easy approach to a summer dress that's easy to throw on for a date. If you aren't in the summer months, like we are here in Australia keep the look simple -- you can still go for a dress like this by adding leggings and a boho coat.
This specific dress costs less than $50 and is on sale now. The fabric is light-weight and I loved the beading adorned under the neckline. This is something I'd wear to the beach with wedges. This dress is no-fuss and easy. Perfect to throw on without the hassle of throwing together an outfit. The dress is still available in the SALE section of the Claremont store.
If you need a good go-to gift for your significant other for Valentine's Day the Storybook Romance Dishtowel set is the perfect gift. It comes with all three towels, in the order of a happy-ever-after love story. We purchased this one for ourselves when we got married and we absolutely love it and keep it on our china hutch. We are going to embroider ours, it is also the perfect wedding gift. You can purchase the set below, under Shop Ze Look.
Accessories made simple and effortless by none other than the Texas designer, Kendra Scott. These are the Mandy Earrings and you can purchase them on sale now for less than $50.
The picnic layout was created with accessories from IKEA, Kmart, Target, Anthropologie, and I made the hearts with a simple project that I made up that took me about 5-minutes to make. If any readers of mine want a tutorial on how to make these hearts I'd be more than happy to share! The cute white tea-pitcher is only $15 at Target - here in Australia.
The candles on the picnic spread were less than $5 each at Kmart -- and are still available at the Garden City Kmart for Perth residents. Something similar is my favorite candle that my Mom and I have been using since I was little, my Mom has been burning this candle since 1999 -- and I still use it today, it's this candle from Anthropologie, which also has a mercury glass option. I have gotten so many friends addicted to it, and owe it all to my Mom.
